“By eating meat we share the responsibility of climate change, the destruction of our forests, and the poisoning of our air and water. The simple act of becoming a vegetarian will make a difference in the health of our planet.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh
Becoming a vegetarian has been a goal for me for many years. I tried many times, but it never lasted (I am a mid-western born, meat and potatoes raised individual). This time it is working – and I am very pleased. I have learned to cook with a vegetarian mindset, and to include protein powder whenever I can. I have made a note to myself to add protein powder to my next months Melaleuca order. (Which already has several items on it.) Now I have to decide whether I want regular protein powder, or a vegan alternative. Oh, wow … depending on which protein powder I order, I can get it in chocolate, classic vanilla, or strawberry!
I had a great time this am filling my bird feeders and watering my plants (all two of them!). I had to suggest to one little bird that he might want to leave the black sunflower feeder for a moment so that I could fill the feeder! This small space on my patio, which has always been a great place for me to relax, is becoming a true oasis!
I am looking forward to starting a line-by-line edit of “Invisible Me – Journeying Through The Soul”, which I co-authored with my friend Brad Tesh. It is already up on Amazon Kindle, but there were a few things that got by us (and a few things that are related to the formatting). We want to have the best book up possible, so this will be a very focused part of my writing journey.
Wishing you all a wonderful wellness journey!
