In Own Your Fear – Part 4 we looked at taking responsibility for our own lives. The foundation for this discussion is Susan Jeffers’ book “Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway”. Jeffers suggests that as long as we continue to grow as individuals, we will be dealing with fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of success … and many other fears.
In Own Your Fear – Part 5 we are looking at working with positive thoughts and positive energy to overcome our fears. There are many things that we can do, such as working with audiotapes and CD’s, apps for our phones, reading positive books that inspire and motivate us, placing positive quotes where we can see them (Google is a great place to find all kinds of positive quotes!), and working with positive affirmations.
The key is to work with material that appeals to you, and to work with it on a consistent (daily) basis. You don’t have to spend a lot of time with this, but setting aside even ten or fifteen minutes a day (at the same time each day, if possible) will help you to see results quickly.
